Trailer Driving Course

Specialised training for articulated trailers and semi-trailers — coupling, manoeuvring, and full RTO trailer licence preparation.

Course Overview

The Trailer Driving Course is our most specialised professional programme, designed for experienced HMV drivers who want to operate articulated trailers and semi-trailers under the endorsed trailer category of the Indian RTO licensing system. Over 18 structured sessions, you will develop the precision skills required to handle the unique demands of towing trailers — from fifth-wheel coupling to high-speed motorway reversing.

Training is conducted using a real articulated training combination by our senior HMV & Trailer instructor. Sessions progress from static coupling and yard manoeuvring through to complex urban driving and full highway operation. The emphasis throughout is on safe load distribution, trailer stability, and avoiding the dangerous conditions that lead to jackknifing and trailer swing.

A mock RTO test is included in Session 17. Session 18 is a pre-test consolidation drive and licence application guidance session.
